Termini
Editing & archives
Editing remote files
Section titled “Editing remote files”Choose Edit on a remote file. Termini downloads it and opens it in your Mac’s default editor for that type — TextEdit, BBEdit, VS Code, whatever you’ve set. Each time you save, Termini uploads the file back to the server.
Close the file in your editor when you’re done. To use a different editor, change the default app for that file type in Finder (Get Info → Open with → Change All).
Archives
Section titled “Archives”To move many small files, compress them on the server first:
- Compress (tar.gz) packs the selection into a
.tar.gzarchive on the server. - Uncompress extracts an archive on the server, where it is.
So: compress a site’s folder, download one archive instead of thousands of files — or upload one archive and Uncompress it on the other side.
