Importing, sync & backup
Importing ~/.ssh/config
Section titled “Importing ~/.ssh/config”Termini reads the Host entries in your SSH config — HostName, User, Port, IdentityFile and ProxyJump — and adds them as hosts. A host that uses ProxyJump is linked to its jump host.
Import from the first-launch screen, or later with Import ~/.ssh/config. Termini needs access to ~/.ssh to read the file.
The free version imports up to its 5-host limit; Termini Pro imports everything.
Sync between Macs
Section titled “Sync between Macs”Settings → General → Sync keeps your hosts, snippets and workspaces the same on several Macs:
- iCloud — through your iCloud account; nothing else to set up.
- Shared folder — any folder that syncs between your Macs (Dropbox, a network share, Syncthing). Choose the same folder on each Mac.
Sync Now syncs immediately; Stop Syncing turns it off. The pane shows when it last synced. Deleting something on one Mac deletes it on the others.
Passwords and key passphrases are not synced: they stay in each Mac’s Keychain, so enter them once on each Mac.
Backup
Section titled “Backup”Settings → General → Backup:
- Export… writes a file with your hosts, snippets and workspaces. It contains no passwords or passphrases.
- Import… reads one back. Anything already in Termini is skipped, so importing the same backup twice adds nothing.
