Files & SFTP
In the browser
Section titled “In the browser”Files shows your server’s directory. From there you can:
- open and edit text files (configs,
server.properties,.env) and save them; - upload files by dragging them onto the page;
- create files and folders, rename, move and delete;
- compress a selection into an archive, and extract an archive you uploaded — the fastest way to bring over a whole world or site.
Most software reads its config when it starts: restart after editing one.
With an SFTP client
Section titled “With an SFTP client”For large uploads — a Minecraft world, a site with thousands of files — use SFTP. Settings → SFTP Details shows exactly what to enter:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Protocol | SFTP |
| Host | the address shown in the panel |
| Port | 2022 |
| Username | your panel username, a dot, and the server’s short ID — e.g. alex.1a2b3c4d |
| Password | your panel password |
Any SFTP client works: FileZilla, Cyberduck, WinSCP, or Termini on a Mac. From a terminal:
sftp -P 2022 alex.1a2b3c4d@<host shown in the panel>You land in the server’s root directory — the same one Files shows.
Disk space
Section titled “Disk space”Uploads count against your plan’s disk. When it’s full the server may fail to save or to start. Delete old logs, archives and backups you’ve downloaded, or ask support for more space.
