Backups
A backup is a snapshot of your server’s files. Each plan keeps a fixed number at once — 1 to 4, listed on Plans.
Creating one
Section titled “Creating one”In Backups, choose Create backup, give it a name, and optionally list files to leave out (logs, caches). It runs while the server keeps going; for a game world, a backup taken while it’s stopped is the most consistent.
When you’re at your plan’s limit, delete an old backup first — or lock the ones you never want removed by accident.
Downloading
Section titled “Downloading”Every backup can be downloaded as an archive. Keep a copy of anything important off the server, too.
Restoring
Section titled “Restoring”Restore replaces the server’s files with the backup’s. Choose whether to delete files that weren’t in the backup. Stop the server first, and restart it afterwards.
On a schedule
Section titled “On a schedule”Add a Create backup task to a schedule for automatic nightly backups. When the limit is reached, the oldest unlocked backup makes way for the new one.
Databases
Section titled “Databases”Backups contain files only. Export a database separately (for example with mysqldump from your own machine) if you need a copy of it.
