What you can do
Section titled “What you can do”A key browser with search by pattern and filters by type; edit strings, hashes, lists, sets, sorted sets and streams; TTLs; a console that runs any command your user may run (admin commands only for admins, no writes on read-only connections). Valkey, KeyDB and Dragonfly open the same way.
A least-privilege user
Section titled “A least-privilege user”Wharfbase works with any user; give it only what you want it to do.
Read only
Section titled “Read only”Redis 6 and later (ACL):
ACL SETUSER wharfbase_ro on >… ~* &* +@read +@connection +info +client|listRead and write
Section titled “Read and write”ACL SETUSER wharfbase_rw on >… ~* &* +@read +@write +@keyspace -@dangerous +@connection +info +client|listFor other features
Section titled “For other features”- Live consumers need
+client|list(included above). - Backups (
redis-cli --rdb) need+sync +psync.
Checked against Redis 8: the read-only user browses (SCAN, TYPE, TTL, MEMORY USAGE, OBJECT ENCODING), SET, DEL and FLUSHDB are refused, and with +sync +psync the backup works.
