MySQL

MySQL databases are found in containers by their image, and on the host by their process and config files (host scan).

Browse and edit tables and views; the SQL editor with Explain; exports and CSV import. Read-only connections set the session READ ONLY and run one statement at a time.

Wharfbase works with any user; give it only what you want it to do.

CREATE USER 'wharfbase_ro'@'%' IDENTIFIED BY '…';
GRANT SELECT, SHOW VIEW ON app.* TO 'wharfbase_ro'@'%';
CREATE USER 'wharfbase_rw'@'%' IDENTIFIED BY '…';
GRANT SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, SHOW VIEW ON app.* TO 'wharfbase_rw'@'%';
  • Live consumers: GRANT PROCESS ON *.* TO 'wharfbase_ro'@'%';, or the process list shows only Wharfbase’s own sessions.
  • Backups (mysqldump --single-transaction --routines --triggers --no-tablespaces): add TRIGGER on the database, and SHOW_ROUTINE on *.* (MySQL 8.0.20 and later) so stored procedures are included.

Checked against MySQL 8.4: reads work, writes are refused, the process list and the dump work.
