What you can do

Databases as tables (fields sampled), Mango filters, documents with _rev conflict checks, a REST console (GET and the query POSTs only on read-only connections).

A least-privilege user

Wharfbase works with any user; give it only what you want it to do.

Read only

Add the user to the database’s members (_security). CouchDB members can also write; for a user that only reads, add a validate_doc_update function that refuses that user’s writes.
