Reviewing a config
Config review finds TLS and header problems before they’re deployed. Paste a file into Config in the dashboard; devtls reads it, works out what kind of file it is, and lists findings anchored to the line they’re about, with an example fix.
What it understands
Section titled “What it understands”| Kind | Typical input |
|---|---|
| Docker Compose | docker-compose.yml, including Traefik labels on services |
| Traefik | a static (traefik.yml) or dynamic configuration file |
| Nginx | a server { … } block |
| Caddy | a Caddyfile |
devtls detects the kind from the text. If it guesses wrong — a short snippet can be ambiguous — choose the kind yourself.
What it checks
Section titled “What it checks”The rules cover the same ground as a scan, from the configuration side: protocol versions allowed, cipher settings, HSTS and other security headers, and HTTP-to-HTTPS redirects. The full rule set is on Mail, DNS & config rules.
Privacy
Section titled “Privacy”Config review runs entirely on the text you paste. devtls never fetches a host, a file or a URL named in it. Remove secrets (passwords, tokens) before pasting anyway: a config doesn’t need them to be reviewed, and each review is kept in your organization’s list until you delete it.
Allowance
